Let the planning begin!
You have the ring and have reserved your venue. It's time to give your guests a sneak peek at the special event that some women have planned their entire lives! Your invitation gives much more information than what is written on the card. The style and look of the invitation helps the guests to know how formal the occasion will be and how they should dress and maybe how they should act (although we hope all the guests act appropriately!). It is my goal to assist you in selecting the perfect invitations for your event, while staying within your budget. We will create your custom invitations using a variety of designs, quality papers and colors to make your entire event stationery package reflect your individual style and budget. I can also assist in selecting pre-designed invitations from Birchcraft Studios. All custom invitations can be printed using either letter press, thermography, or flat print. I am here to help with your entire stationery suite from save the dates, invitations and ceremony programs to menus, place cards, table numbers, monogrammed cocktail napkins, favors, bridesmaids gift, personal stationery, and so much more!

THE PROCESS Consultation: The custom process begins with a complimentary consultation either in person, or by phone or email where I can get to know you, your style, and your likes and dislikes. During your one-on-one consultation, you get an opportunity to feel, hold, and experience custom invitation samples, as well as discuss your options, budget, style and preferences in detail. If you have it, bring in your inspiration… magazines, fabric, photos, family heirlooms… whatever inspires you. It is recommended that wedding invitations be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to the event date. Therefore it is best to schedule your first consultation 12 weeks prior to the event. Exceptions can be made and sometimes require a nominal rush service fee.
Pricing: Pricing is as individual as your custom order. Because each order is custom made for my clients, pricing depends on design style, quantity, selected materials, and the items within your ensemble. I will provide you with specific pricing information with your designs in mind during your appointment. But just to give you an idea, custom invitations start around $2.50, but can be as low as $1.30. The custom invitations generally average between $4-$7 depending upon style, paper and size.
Design: Once I receive your 50% deposit, We will work together to create your perfect invitation design. Before we begin, send your invitation text or ask me for help with your invitation wording. Also check out wedding invitation etiquette. I will send proofs of all printed pieces or inserts throughout the process for you to review. You will be able to make changes and additions as many times as necessary. I want your invitations to be perfect, but please keep in mind that the more revisions we make, the longer it takes! The design process usually takes 2-4 weeks, although it can be quicker.
Final Proof: After all pieces have been designed, I will send a final proof. This is the time when you will look the proofs over VERY CAREFULLY for any spelling errors or typos and correct information (times, addresses etc).
Production: Standard printing production time is 2 – 4 weeks
POLICIESAll custom wedding stationery is made to order – so you chose everything from the paper to the printing process based on your budget and style.
Deposit: When you place your order, I ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. The remaining balance is due upon delivery.
Proofs: I want everything to be perfect. Custom orders include as many design revisions as needed. There’s no fee for additional proofs. I email color proofs directly to you.
Sales tax: We charge 8.25% sales tax only on orders shipped to a Texas state address or picked up in store. Orders shipped outside of Texas are not charged sales tax.
Returns: I am committed to your happiness. If something isn’t right, I will do everything possible to make it right.
Cancelations: Orders cancelled after final proof approval will be billed in full.
